Project STEAM Role Joins Forces with Drone Tech Navigators Academy and Girl Scouts for an Inspiring STEM Workshop Series

Project STEAM Role is soaring into an exciting new chapter—and we’re doing it alongside two incredible partners: Drone Tech Navigators Academy (DTNA) and the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey. Together, we’re launching a dynamic series of workshops designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and open doors for girls in grades 4 through 8.

This six-hour, two-session program uses the thrill of drone technology as a gateway to foundational STEAM learning. Participants will dive into hands-on activities that explore aviation basics, drone programming, flight maneuvers, creative multimedia applications, and real-world problem-solving. These sessions are intentionally crafted to help girls “see it so they can be it”—connecting each skill to future career possibilities in fields like robotics, environmental science, aviation, and emerging creative technologies.

But these workshops are about more than drones and engineering. They’re about empowerment. About helping girls discover what excites them, what challenges them, and what’s possible when they believe in their own potential. By combining technical learning with exposure to diverse STEAM careers, DTNA and Project STEAM Role are building pathways for girls to envision themselves as innovators and changemakers in a tech-driven world.

We’re thrilled to collaborate with the Girl Scouts on this transformative experience—and even more excited for the amazing ideas and confidence these girls will take with them long after the final drone lands.

Stay tuned for workshop highlights, future dates, and more opportunities to join the movement!
